Sony executive believes the company doesn't own enough original franchises
, by Thibaut
During an interview with the Financial Times, Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki said the following about the intellectual properties owned by the Japanese brand.
Totoki simply pointed out that the company doesn't have enough original franchises in general, and that it will have to create more in the future.
"Whether it’s for games, films or anime, we don’t have that much IP that we fostered from the beginning [...] We're better at finding a global audience for content that has already become popular in its home market".
It seems we could see Sony developing more original franchises in the years to come.
