The combat system of Final Fantasy XVI is briefly shown

As we know from its first presentation, Final Fantasy XVI will opt for dynamic and Devil May Cry-inspired combat. The Square Enix RPG will therefore focus on its action part rather than the strategy of traditional turn-based battles. But there will still be some subtleties.

For example, the hero of this opus, named Clive, will be able to have the wolf Torgal by his side. It will be possible to give him orders during combat and to perform devastating combinations with the canine. The Japanese publisher highlighted this particularity through a short gameplay clip.
