The new The Lord of the Rings MMO is still in the early stages of production
, by Thibaut
Back in March 2023, Amazon Games announced a new Lord of the Rings MMORPG: Today, Christoph Hartmann, head of the American giant's gaming division, has also spoken on this project when talking about the next Tomb Raider.
The first thing is to keep in mind that this MMO is only at the beginning of the design phase. So much so that the devs are still looking for "the hook", the thing that will give true life to the project and captivate players.
"You've got to find a fresh twist, and we're still, I think, in that period where we really want to find out what could be the hook, what could be the thing which is different to all the other games out there."
Hartmann ends stating that it's still far too early to say more.
