Activision issues C&D for a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered ambitious mod

Due for launch this week, the H2M mod has been cancelled at the last minute. This was supposed to bring multiplayer maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on PC.
Activision issued a cease and desist order to force the mod's creators to stop their work. They have announced on X.com the end of the project, which will never see the light of day.
The mod was intended to add some fifty new maps and more items. Its supposed release sparked renewed interest in Modern Warfare Remastered, which recorded a 300% increase in terms of maximum number of players on Steam.
