Ubisoft is still working on the Driver IP

We haven't known anything about the Driver IP since the release of Driver: San Francisco back in 2011. I mean, apart from the terribad mobile spin-off in 2015.
However, Ubisoft has announced that it has parted ways with the Binge streaming service, which acted as a partner on future projects around the franchise.
Still, this seems to have no major impact on the sequel, and the IP is far from dead.
According to a company rep, "We are actively working on other exciting projects related to the franchise and can’t wait to share more information in the future."
