S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 developers hit by a major hack

The Ukrainian studio GSC Game World has been hacked. In a statement, the company explains that numerous data have been stolen by a "Russian social network." This is not the first time that the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 have been the victims of such an attack. The hackers claim to have the complete story of the game, maps, descriptions for cinematics, and much more.
Thus, GSC Game World warns players about hypothetical future spoilers that could be spread on the internet. However, the studio does not intend to give in to the ransom demand and adds that the stolen files may be "outdated or in development and may alter the perception of the final idea at the heart of the game."
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be shown on March 23 at the GDC.
