The mods for Baldur's Gate 3 will act as a baton pass between devs and the fan base
, by Thibaut
This September, Baldur's Gate 3 will welcome a new patch that will add all the modding tools necessary for the creation of new content by the community.
In a recent interview, Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, spoke about the future of the game.
"One of the big things for us, and the one that we're really working towards now, is the ability for players to mod [Baldur's Gate 3] themselves, because then they will be able to make their own things. And I think that will be the point where we're going to say 'ok, now it's yours fully'".
Development of the software for mods is yet to be complete, and once it's available, the studio will correct a few more bugs. Vincke also spoke at length about his excitement at the prospect of working on the teams' next games.
