Overwatch2 PvE mode is gone just three months after launch

It hasn't take too long for Blizzard to sack the PvE mode of Overwatch 2 for good. The American studio has decided to retire the Hero Mastery Gauntlet mode for Season 11, which starts on June 18.

The devs have explained that the mode "hasn't resonated with players".

"As we prepare for Season 11, we've taken the time to evaluate a variety of game modes based on how much they are being played. Hero Mastery Gauntlet was intended to bring the high score-chasing excitement of Hero Mastery missions into a multiplayer format. Unfortunately, it hasn't resonated with players in the ways that we hoped."

Now you know. Enjoy it while it lasts! "Hero Mastery Solo Courses" will still be available in single-player.
