Nintendo is buying Shiver Entertainment, the studio responsible for Switch ports like Hogwarts Legacy

Embracer Group is once again saying goodbye to one of its companies. After Gearbox Software and Saber Interactive, the Swedish company has decided to sell Shiver Entertainment.

And its Nintendo that is in the running to acquire the studio. After all, Shiver Entertainment is very familiar with the Switch, having ported Mortal Kombat 1 and Hogwarts Legacy to the hybrid.

"By welcoming Shiver’s experienced and accomplished development team, Nintendo aims to secure high-level resources for porting and developing software titles".

Nintendo has also stated that despite this acquisition, the studio will continue to work on other platforms in addition to the Switch.
