Major concessions made to the open world of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch
, by Thibaut
Today, Warner Bros. Games' title lands on Nintendo's hybrid console. Said version has already been explored in video.
The YouTube channel "SwitchUp" has posted a detailed test of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch. The port seems relatively successful, despite a greatly reduced definition, objects removed from certain environments and a visual rendering that is inevitably less flattering than on other supports. Framerate remains decent, fluctuating between 27 and 30 FPS.
However, the biggest concession lies in the open world. For example, it is now necessary to pass through a loading screen (lasting between 30 and 50 seconds) to enter Hogsmeade and its stores.
So we're no longer dealing with an open-world, but a more segmented world, with zones separated by loading times.
