Ubisoft confirms that despite XDefiant being free, it won't be pay-to-win

Just in a few hours' time, this Tuesday May 21, XDefiant will finally be released on consoles and PC. But before that happens, the devs have decided to make some things clear regarding the game's pricing policy.

First of all, XDefiant is free-to-play, but Ubisoft has stated that there' will be "no pay-to-win". All gameplay elements can either be purchased directly or unlocked through normal play. This will be the case, for example, with the DeadSec faction, which will only be available after getting 700,000 XP points.

There will be plenty of rewards to be earned via daily or weekly challenges and through weapon mastery. It doesn't stop there, as there will be a Battle Pass, Ubisoft Connect challenges and Twitch Drops.

Finally, players will always get some kind of reward, whether they win or lose.
