New leaks reveal more info about the ASUS ROG Ally X
, by Quentin
It seems the flood gates have opened when it comes to ASUS' handheld console, the ROG Ally X. This time, it comes from The Verge, a medium known for being quite serious. Even if everything we know points to it being an iteration rather than a new one, let's take stock of it all.
This is a carbon copy of the original, with the same screen size, button layout and structure. Only the color has changed, with this model being black.
However, there's a few improvements when it comes to handling. ASUS has made the rear buttons smalled and rounded off the edges. The battery is larger and the console a little heavier. Of course, those are only aesthetic and weight changes, nothing major.
In terms of performance, the leaks mention 1TB of storage and 24GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory. The price should be $799, just $100 more than the first model. It's also said to offer up to 7 hours of autonomy.
