, by Quentin
A recent rumor from the Chiphell forum sheds some light on AMD's next-gen RDNA 5 GPUs. According to a forum user, the RDNA 4 architecture was an impromevent to the RDNA 3 and was aimed at solving many of the problems of the latter.
However, this isn't the case for the RNDA 5. This future generation is starting from scratch with a new architecture. With RDNA 5, AMD is currently working on perfecting its software suite, specially with regard to AI.
The RDNA 5 GPUs are not scheduled for immediate commercial release. Instead, the company envisages a launch towards the end of 2025 or in 2026.
