Lightforce Games lays off part of its staff and puts its first game on hold

Perhaps little known to the general public, Lightforge Games brings together industry veterans who were working on an RPG inspired by board games called Project O.R.C.S.. Unfortunately, Matt Schembari, the company's co-founder, has just announced some pretty bad news for the company.
The studio has been unable to secure financing for its title, what with negotiations with publishers and other partners falling apart. The game has been halted and there are redundancies to come. Only a handful of employees will remain.
Schembari speaks of a "skeleton crew" in order to keep Lightforge Games alive. However, there's no guarantee that the strategy will pay off, and Project O.R.C.S. may end up being cancelled for good.
