Switch players won't be able to share content on X from June 10

Nintendo has announced the end of a social feature for its hybrid console. We'll talking about the ability to share screenshots and videos on the X social network straight from the console.

This will take effect on June 10. Players will no longer be able to send friend requests via the X suggestions tab. Of course, games such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also see their X-related content lost.

PlayStation and Xbox made a similar announcement last year following Elon Musk, X CEO, decision to begin charging around $40,000 per month to those companies wishing to use the X API.

As of June 10, 2024, it will no longer be possible to post screenshots and videos to X (formerly Twitter) from the Nintendo Switch's Album, or send friend requests to social media users via the Friend Suggestions feature.
