Microsoft looking into raising the price of Game Pass and making further cuts

More info about the closure of the four studios that belonged to Bethesda Softworks is starting to leak. A number of sources have chimed in about what's currently going on at Microsoft.

First of all, The Verge reports that the American company is considering another price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and whether or not Call of Duty games should be coming to the service. Some higher-ups at Microsoft are said to be concerned about the loss of revenue that would follow including the latest game day one in Game Pass. In addition, Hellblade 2 could be coming to PS5.

We now turn to Bloomberg, which looks back at the projects that were being considered by the now-defunct studios. Tango Gameworks was probably in the process to submit a pitch for a Hi-Fi RUSH sequel. For its part, Arkane Austin was planning to return to its roots with an immersive sim, which may have very well been a new Dishonored.

But that's not all. Microsoft is reportedly planning to make further cuts, with more redundancies and potential studio closures. The takeover of Activision Blizzard is said to have increased Microsoft's scrutiny over its gaming division, which may very well explain the company's recent policy changes.
