The International Game Developers Association (IDGA) recently submitted a survey to a panel of 777 industry workers, asking about several aspects of their profession, including the presence of their name in the game end credits.
We learn that 48% of those questioned said that their studio had an internal policy on game credits. 24% said their company did not, and 29% didn't know at all.
But there's more: 13% of the devs say they haven't received credit for their work on their most recent game. Over the course of their careers, 55% said they were always credited, 16% said they were often credited, 10% that they were rarely credited and 7% never.
Finally, 71% out of those surveyed said they were “very confident”, 12% said “somewhat confident”, 8% said “not too confident” and 9% said “not confident at all”.
