Cities: Skylines 2's latest DLC becomes free and players will get back their money

Colossal Order and Cities: Skylines 2 are going from bad to worse. After a disastrous launch due to all kinds of bugs and other technical problems, it's now the latest DLC that's causing quite a stir, and not for good reasons.

Studio General Manager Mariina Hallikainen and Paradox Interactive Deputy Director Mattias Lilja jointly apologized in a message to players on the Cities: Skylines 2 forums. The fault lies with the "Beach Properties" DLC, which was launched too soon and ended up being in a bad state. In the press release, the studio's representatives admit to having abandoned the fans and not having been able to make the necessary fixes as quickly as possible.

As a result, the pack in question is now free, and all purchasers will be reimbursed. Those who got the DLC via the Ultimate Edition won't be refunded, but will get some additional content at no extra cost.

Finally, all future DLC, including the Bridges & Ports pack, have been delayed until next year. Colossal Order and Paradox would also like to meet with a group of fans to listen to their complaints and answer any questions they may have.
