Wizards of the Coast is in talks with various partners for Baldur's Gate 4

A short while ago, Larian Studios confirmed that it won't be doing a new Baldur's Gate 3, so it should come as no surprise to learn that Wizards of the Coast should turn to other companies in order to do a fourth entry.

Eugene Evans, Wizards of the Coast's Vice-President of Digital Strategy, spoke to PC Gamer about the project. We learn that the company is in discussion with several partners interested in a potential Baldur's Gate 4.

"We're now talking to lots of partners [...] So we certainly hope that it's not another 25 years, as it was from Baldur's Gate 2 to 3, before we answer that. But we're going to take our time and find the right partner, the right approach, and the right product that could represent the future of Baldur's Gate. We take that very, very seriously, as we do with all of our decisions around our portfolio. We don't rush into decisions as to who to partner with [...]."

In any case, we'll have to be patient, seeing as no decision has yet been made.
