EA has disbanded the UK QA team for Apex Legends

Insider Gaming reports that Electronic Arts has disbanded the entire UK-based QA team for Apex Legends. The team was created back in 2022 to test the game from Season 16 onwards.

Some fifty people saw their contracts abruptly terminated when the American publisher announced that it would not be renewing them. What's worst, the information was communicated to those concerned during a simple video call.

Add to this the fact that managers and other project leaders on Apex Legends only learned the news once the meeting was over and via the employees affected by this decision.

This was all part of a "corporate restructuring", despite the fact that this QA division was probably doing very well, at least according to the latest reports. It was still meeting its targets. The contracts will expire in the coming weeks.
