Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has reportedly undergone some major changes since the announcement
, by Thibaut
It was in September 2020 that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was officially announced. But after undergoing dev hell in hands of Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbay, the project was finally handed over to Ubisoft Montreal in May 2022.
Last November, we learned that the game had achieved an important production milestone, and today, Insider Gaming is back with some news about the changes that the title has undergone during these long months of developments.
Quite simply, the current Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has nothing in common with the one announced over three years ago. Everything has been redone, from the script, motion capture, parkour and even combat. Graphics have been radically improved, and there's even new animations.
What's more, actor Yuri Lowenthal seems to have not reprised his role as the Prince for the final game, even if it was him that we heard in the first trailer. We don't know why as of yet.
Finally, Insider Gaming states that, according to one of their sources, we will have some official info on the game "soon".
