Rare explains cross-progression for the PS5 version of Sea of Thieves

Here's some good news for those who are getting Sea of Thieves for PS5 later this month. They'll get to continue where they left the game, only this time at Sony's console.

Rare has explained that PC and Xbox users will get to link their Microsoft accounts to their PS ones in order to continue with their saves, with the same characters, cosmetic items, Twitch Drops and gold.

Only items exclusive to certain platforms (like some outfits) won't be in the PS5 version. What's more, Sony's version will get som exclusive content themselves, such as an unique boat.

Finally, the game's friends lists will include both PSN and Xbox friends, as Sea of Thieves is cross-play.
