Following the delay of next Dragon Quest, producer Yu Miyake has reportedly been fired

According to Bloomberg, Square Enix has made a big change to the team responsible for Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, which was announced by the Japanese publisher for May 2021.

Apparently, delays were piling up internally, and the Japanese company decided to remove producer Yu Miyake. Miyake will no longer oversee the IP, but is said to have taken over the reins of Square Enix's mobile games division. The current producer of the NieR franchise, Yosuke Saito, is expected to replace him.
