It's not Wizards of the Coast's fault that Larian is giving up on Baldur's Gate
, by Thibaut
Surprising as it may seem given its success, Baldur's Gate 3 will have no sequel or even DLC, or at least not under Larian Studios. The Belgian company has decided to move on.
Rumors began to circulate about the reasons behind this surprising choice. Some even blamed Wizards of the Coast, the brand that publishes productions using the Dungeons and Dragons universe, which is obviously the case with Baldur's Gate 3.
Swen Vinke, Larian's CEO, has taken to X.com to deny these rumors.
"WOTC is not to blame for us taking a different direction. On the contrary, they really did their best and have been a great licensor for us, letting us do our thing. This is because it's what's best for Larian."
