On Xbox, Final Fantasy gets a new virtual currency for microtransactions

This week, Square Enix's MMORPG lands for the first time on Xbox Series, with all the content released to date for Final Fantasy XIV. However, there are some changes coming.

Square Enix has confirmed the introduction of a new virtual currency exclusively for the Xbox Series X|S. These FF XIV coins can be purchased with real money and then used to get some items (like outfits, weapons, emotes, etc.) in the in-game store. This will also be the case for the Mog Station, where you can purchase the full version of the game, extend theirs subs and more.

Those who use their FInal Fantasy XIV account on several platforms will be able to purchase items on the site for real money, and it will be then added to the Xbox version.
