PS5 Pro's upscaling technology, the PSSR, is said to target 4K at 120 FPS and 8K at 60 FPS

A few hours ago, Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson spilled the beans about the PlayStation 5 Pro specs, but now he's decided to add yet more fuel to the fire and tell us more about the upscaling technology it's expected to feature, the PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling).
According to him, Sony is aiming to offer console gaming in 4K at 120 FPS as well as in 8K at 60 FPS. Insider Gaming reveals that it had access to documents disclosing all this information, which would lend even more credibility to the info.
But that's not all: Sony is using two exclusive games to test the viability of all this. Although they are not named, Insider Gaming has had access to comparative performance results on both the base and pro PS5. Here are the details:
First game
PlayStation 5:
- Performance mode - 1080p at 60 FPS.
- Graphics mode - 1800p at 30 FPS.
PlayStation 5 Pro:
- 1440p at 60 FPS (PSSR used)
Second Game
While the standard PlayStation 5 reaches 60 FPS without ray-tracing, the PlayStation 5 Pro reaches it with ray-tracing turned on.
