Embracer implies that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake won't make it this year

During the conference regarding the sale of Saber Interactive, Embracer Group was asked about its plans for future big releases.

First of all, keep in mind that although Aspyr had begun development of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Saber Interactive picked it up along the way. Despite the studio's resale, the game will be owned by both the American studio and Embracer. In its document, the Swedish group refers to the remake as "a previously announced AAA game based on a major license".

Asked by an analyst about the title's possible release in the next 12 months, Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors was rather categorical.

"No, I think that kind of game needs some deep love and respect, so without giving full clour, I think it's some time left until that is released."

It seems Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake won't be coming out this year.
