New free-to-play mobile Sonic game to be released this summer
, by Thibaut
Back in January, we were already hearing about a new Sonic inspired by Fall Guys, a game that was then expected later this year on iOS and Android devices.
Today, the Insider Gaming site has taken up the challenge, stating that the title will be launched under the name Sonic Toys Party. Its release is scheduled for the summer of 2024.
The (unfortunately undisclosed) gameplay videos provided to Insider Gaming illustrate characters from the franchise battling it out in a 32-player game. Sonic, Tales, Shadow, Knuckles and Eggman take part in an obstacle course and battle bosses. The last person standing wins the game.
Given its free-to-play nature, the title will offer cosmetic elements that can be purchased by spending gold rings.
