Johanna Faries replaces Mike Ybarra as head of Blizzard Entertainment

Following the 1,900 redundancies announced by Microsoft Gaming last week, Mike Ybarra, then President of Blizzard Entertainment, chose to leave the company. The American manufacturer had to find a replacement quickly.
The company turned to Johanna Faries, who was previously General Manager of Call of Duty. She had also worked for the NFL.
In an internal e-mail, Blizzard's new president stated that "Activision, Blizzard and King are decidedly different companies with distinct games, cultures and communities. I'm walking into this role with sensitivity to those dynamics."
