DayZ team laughs at the failure of The Day Before

The failure of The Day Before has had serious repercussions. Indeed, the FNTASTIC studio was forced to close its doors barely four days after launch. The reason for this was probably economic problems caused by too many refunds.

According to a message that seems to have come from the studio's internal messaging system, 200,000 copies of The Day Before had been sold and 91,000 refunded. A resounding failure that amused a direct competitor.

DayZ's X.com account did not lack for black humor, openly tackling FNTASTIC. The post recounts the success of Bohemia Interactive's survival game since development began in 2012. The message even goes so far as to use the same aesthetic and font as the one posted online to announce the closure of the studio responsible for The Day Before.
