Vivendi reportedly turned down five The Simpsons games after Hit and Run
, by Thibaut
During a podcast interview with MinnMax, the producer of The Simpsons: Hit and Run talked about the sequel which, alas, never saw the light of day. Although he doesn't know the reasons for the cancellation, John Melchior did give a few precise details.
He explained that Hit and Run 2 was being developed by Radical Entertainment and that another The Simpsons game with a medieval theme was in production at Stormfront Studios.
We learn in passing that the publisher at the time, Vivendi Universal Games, rejected a contract to develop five The Simpsons games. Melchior was unable to explain this refusal.
