Switch 2 may not come with NVIDIA's DLA
, by Thibaut
Many rumors surround the specs of Nintendo's next console, with one of the most insistent being the presence of NVIDIA's DLSS technology, which could help the machine chieve better definition while maintaining optimal fluidity.
Alas, according to YouTube channel Digital Foundry, while this "Switch 2" will feature DLSS, it will be without DLA (Deep Learning Accelerator), a feature that uses an autonomous engine to accelerate AI calculations.
Because of this absence, Nintendo's future machine should not be able to achieve the sacrosanct 4K. We're likely to be faced with "1080p upscaling, possibly 1440p if you’re lucky, depending on the game".
