Microsoft has finally reversed its decision. The firm's employees will continue to have free access to Xbox Game Pass. Phil Spencer himself made the announcement. Here's his message to the teams.
"After looking into this more with the team, I just want to confirm that no change will be made to Game Pass availability in 2024. If you have access to the Game Pass offer today you will continue to have access. I appreciate the time to get up to speed and sorry for the questions and confusion created. And thanks for supporting Xbox."

Here's a surprising piece of information, to say the least. In an article, The Verge tells us that Microsoft employees recently lost a relatively valuable benefit.
Indeed, almost all of the company's 238,000 employees enjoyed free access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This will no longer be the case from January 2024. Employees working outside the Xbox / Microsoft Gaming division will then be able to pay for the annual Game Pass Ultimate package at a preferential rate.
The company's internal messaging system was reportedly flooded with messages of dissatisfaction. Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, said he was unaware of this decision and would look into the matter.
