Bungie speaks out about recent layoffs
, by Thibaut
This week, we learned that Bungie had laid off around 100 people and delayed certain projects. Until now, the American company had remained extremely silent on this thorny subject.
This silence has now been broken with the publication of a press release on the company's website. In this long message, Bungie recalls one of the "most difficult weeks in our studio's history", while admitting to having *"lost a lot of your trust" following the launch of the latest content for Destiny 2.
Despite this, the studio did not confirm the postponement of the expansion "The Final Shape" or that of Marathon, its next competitive FPS.
"For us the path forward is clear: we need to make The Final Shape an unforgettable Destiny experience [...] In the weeks ahead, you'll be hearing more from us on what's next on the short-term horizon."
