Media Molecule has confirmed the redundancies via a statement published on social networks. The studio remains vague on the scale of the departures and will provide information on its next game "at a later date".

The British firm is likely to be the next development studio to be hit by a wave of lay-offs. The information comes from Sports Illustrated's gaming section.

During a meeting on Tuesday October 24, Media Molecule learned that 15-20% of its employees would be leaving, which represents a total of around 20 people out of the 135 employed by the studio. We don't know if this decision will have any impact on the production of the next game from the company owned by Sony since 2010.
