BioWare has laid off around fifty people

The studio responsible for Mass Effect and Dragon Age is embarking on a major transition in order to enable the studio to "thrive in a rapidly evolving gaming industry".

As a result, the Canadian firm has decided to cut no fewer than 50 positions. But don't worry! Some of the people affected may be relocated to another Electronic Arts studio.

In any case, development of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf continues, and the next Mass Effect is still in pre-production.
