Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion unveiled and game coming to Xbox Series in 2024

A new extension is on the horizon for Square Enix's MMORPG. The Japanese publisher has made official the existence of Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, a new chapter to come in the summer of 2024 that will take players to a land called Tural.

What's more, the game will finally land on Xbox Series X|S next spring. It will benefit from fast loading times on both machines and 4K on Series X. An open beta will be held just before launch. However, the Xbox version will be released digital only.

Finally, Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's gaming division, added on Twitter that his teams will also be working with Square Enix on "future games".
