CD Projekt RED to lay off 9% of its workforce, i.e. around 100 people

It's a very bad time for the video game industry as a whole. Today, CD Projekt RED announced another major layoff plan. Let's keep in mind that The Polish studio had already dismissed 29 employees last May.

This time, around 100 people will be let go, representing approximately 9% of the company's workforce. CEO Adam Kiciński said he wanted "teams that are more agile and more effective". Kiciński also added that CD Projekt RED is simply "overstaffed" at present, and that some employees will have no tasks left to perform in the coming months.
