A petition forces Canada to consider a proposal to save BioWare

In addition to the #SaveMassEffect petition, which has gathered more than 300,000 signatures, fans of the series have submitted another petition to the Canadian House of Commons. The goal is to ask the government to find a solution to save the studio.
The petition in question calls on Canada to provide funding that would allow the studio to survive by gaining independence and repurchasing its licenses.
"BioWare’s productions Champion the values of inclusivity, tolerance, democracy, justice, and civil rights at the centre of Canada's national identity."
To date, 1,700 signatures have been collected. When a petition receives more than 500 signatures from Canadian citizens or residents, its demands are added to the House of Commons’ agenda. Of course, this in no way guarantees that the Canadian government will be able to, or even willing to, save BioWare.
