Unity could soon be acquired by Silver Lake and Saudi Arabia

There could be a major acquisition soon in the gaming and technology sectors. Reuters reports that Unity Software could soon come under Saudi ownership.

The software provider has reportedly been in talks recently regarding a potential acquisition by the private equity firm Silver Lake Partners and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF). It’s worth noting that Silver Lake already owns an 8% stake in Unity. The company’s market capitalization stands at $21.5 billion. Its stock price has risen 4% since this rumor surfaced.

Of course, nothing has been finalized yet, and we will have to wait for an official statement. Saudi Arabia could thus complete another major acquisition following its $55 billion purchase of Electronic Arts.
