The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time already runs on PC thanks to the Lichii Emulator

On Thursday, November 5, 2026, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time finally arrives on Switch 2. The remake instantly became the highest-rated game of 2026 and is therefore expected to be a huge commercial success.
Unfortunately for Nintendo, the game is already available on the Lichii emulator. Early versions allow users to launch and even play the game directly on a PC. Performance isn’t stable yet, and there are currently many visual glitches.
As a result, the files for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time have been extracted and shared online. Zortos, a developer at Lichii, quickly got to work trying to get the game running. The emulation is still far from perfect, but the progress made in just a few hours has been considerable.
It’s safe to assume that Nintendo will react quickly to try to counter all of this.
