Despite notable differences from the franchise’s video games, the latest Resident Evil film has been a huge hit at the box office. To date, it is Zach Cregger’s highest-grossing feature film.
In fact, the adaptation has grossed over $400 million at the global box office. The production budget was approximately $75 million. As a result, the film has more than paid for itself. This success is expected to continue with the arrival of Resident Evil on streaming platforms next year.
