The first GTA V trailer released came out 15 years ago

With GTA VI set to be released in just over two weeks, let’s take a moment to indulge in some nostalgia. On November 2, 2011, Rockstar Games gave players a wonderful gift.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the first GTA V trailer. On the company’s YouTube channel, the announcement video has racked up over 136 million views. The trailer was enigmatic, to say the least, as it gave no clues about the story or even the characters. Franklin and Michael make a brief appearance, yes, but their designs in the final version of the game were very different.

It’s a great way to say goodbye to the fifth installment of the series. Vice City will reopen its doors on November 19.
