There are no other Assassin's Creed remakes in development, but the multiplayer title is still coming

As promised, Ubisoft provided a brief update on the future of the Assassin's Creed series. No earth-shattering announcements, but a few important details regarding the titles currently in production.

First, Jean Guesdon, the franchise’s content lead, clarified that despite the success of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, no other remakes are currently in development. The remake of the fourth game, meanwhile, has just received several new features, including a New Game+ mode, a “Nightmare” difficulty setting, rewards, and other in-game items.

Speaking of New Game+, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be getting this mode on November 5, 2026. This title has surpassed 40 million players. This free update will also include an optional progression mode, new runes, achievements, a chest system, and additional bonuses. Mithril will be included as a resource used to upgrade divine equipment.

Let’s move on to “Codename Invictus,” which is being billed as a highly ambitious multiplayer project. While early testers were reportedly satisfied with the experience, Ubisoft has listened to their feedback to take “a promising direction” by adding more core elements that define the series. Development is ongoing.

As for Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, players will face a darker installment. There is still work to be done by the teams, however, but a major update on this title will be released in 2027. Finally, filming for the Netflix live-action series is nearing completion.
