The feature film Elden Ring, directed by Alex Garland, could break several records even before its theatrical release in 2028. In fact, Deadline has revealed several financial details regarding the adaptation.
First, we’ve received confirmation that the film’s budget ranges from $175 million to $200 million. That’s more expensive, for example, than the most recent Hunger Games film. Currently in post-production, Elden Ring has also attracted several distributors. It appears that Amazon MGM Studios hit the jackpot by signing a distribution deal for the feature film in a large number of international markets. The deal is reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars. A partnership with Twitch could also be in the works.
We’ve also learned that the screenplay for Elden Ring includes at least 180 illustrated pages. The film’s runtime could be around three hours. This, of course, remains to be confirmed.
