Phasmophobia announces the jump to Unity 6 and other new features
, by Thibaut
Kinetic Games has just revealed several new features to come to Phasmophobia. The studio is planning several major changes, including an engine upgrade.
As a result, the cooperative psychological horror game will soon be upgraded to Unity 6, delivering improved performance and more realistic lighting. Additionally, the game will be compatible with Xbox Play Anywhere, and the modeling of player-controlled characters is expected to see significant improvements as well. During an investigation, players will be able to use a new item: divining rods. This will prove particularly useful on large maps to help locate the area occupied by the entity.
Finally, the 42 Edgefield Road map will get overhauled later this year.
