NVIDIA says the RTX 5090 isn't being discontinued, but its partners can no longer order it
, by Thibaut
The situation surrounding the future of the RTX 5090 is quite strange. In recent days, rumors and various statements have suggested that NVIDIA's star GPU might be discontinued. The company has finally spoken out to try to clarify the situation.
Through its senior vice president, Jeff Fisher, the manufacturer stated that production of the RTX 5090 has not been halted. It is simply facing supply issues. However, this explanation has been called into question by several of NVIDIA’s partners.
In fact, some of NVIDIA’s AIB partners (Asus, MSI, Gigabyte) can no longer order GB202 kits with 32 GB of GDDR7 memory. It is impossible to place a new order, and pending orders are reportedly being systematically rejected.
It is therefore difficult to get a clear picture of the situation at this time.
