Mark Darrah, a former BioWare executive, believes EA might sell Mass Effect and Dragon Age

By now, everyone is aware of BioWare’s closure. The studio will thus cease to exist after three decades of unforgettable titles (despite a more tumultuous recent history). The Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises also appear to be coming to an end along with their developer.
However, there may still be hope. In a video posted on YouTube, Mark Darrah, a former producer and director at BioWare for nearly 24 years, explained that EA might now decide to sell these two franchises. He also noted that it wouldn’t be impossible for the American publisher to keep them and do nothing with them.
"EA owns all the IPs. They own Dragon Age, they own Mass Effect, they own Jade Empire. That doesn’t change the situation, really, at all.
Now, there’s nobody working on a [BioWare] game, or games, within the EA organization, and chances are there never will be, which might make them more likely to sell off those IPs. But it might also make them more likely to just try to forget that they ever existed and bury them in the vault."
In a statement, EA confirmed that it intends to focus on sports games, Battlefield, The Sims, Apex Legends, and Skate.
