Subnautica 2 is still in Early Access, and is getting ready for the long journey up to version 1.0. It's still a long way off, but Unknown Worlds has big updates planned for the coming weeks.

In a video posted on YouTube, Creative Director Anthony Gallegos confirmed the arrival of several biomes within a region described as "terrifying", as well as story elements, new behaviors for the Leviathan, and an additional hull for the submersible. Players will even be able to propel themselves underwater using their fins with the press of a single button.

Add to that basic building options that will be introduced through tutorial videos. The release date for this kind of "Early Access 2.0" version of Subnautica 2 has yet to be announced.
