GTA VI: weapons censored on several posters

The marketing campaign for GTA VI is in full swing. Numerous promotional materials are popping up in major cities around the world. However, it appears that some form of censorship is in effect.

In fact, whether in Paris or in New York’s Times Square, the game’s official artwork has been altered. Simply put, all the weapons have been removed. Lucia no longer has her pistol in her hand, and Raul Batista has also lost his assault rifle.

These changes may be subtle, but they reflect a desire to conceal the weapons during the promotional campaign. This is likely intended to avoid exposing young passersby to a form of violence in public spaces.
